CranioSacral Therapy

When CranioSacral Therapy (CST) came into my life, my path changed forever. My first migraine was when I was 13 years old. Thankfully my mom had knowledge of this wonderful technique called CranioSacral Therapy. I was able to see my first therapist after months of doctors, doctors, and more doctors. After every session the world seemed different. The colors were vibrant, life was more clear, I honestly just felt lighter. To the point where I would want to sing.... "It's a whoooole new woooorld". Sometimes, I couldn't even help but sing, the relief was so impactful/intense/magnificent.

By the time I was 18 years old I ended up getting diagnosed with chronic conditions that were debilitating to my daily life. From continued CranioSacral Therapy, meds, and a pain management regimen, I have learned to live my life with happiness, balance, and passion. The amount CranioSacral Therapy has impacted my life is insurmountable, which is why I want to help others by using this modality.

CranioSacral Therapy has helped thousands. After extensive research by osteopathic physician John E. Upledger. The Upledger Institute defines CranioSacral Therapy in multiple ways, below are a couple of those definitions.

1. "CST is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system -  comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Using a touch generally  about the weight of a nickel, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system, which has been shown to improve the functioning of the central nervous system, as well as many other systems of the body, such as digestive, musculoskeletal, respiratory, circulatory, and more. "

2. "By facilitating the body's natural and innate healing processes, CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and has been shown to be beneficial for people seeking help with a wide range of healthcare challenges and symptoms."

By going at the pace of my client, I ensure that you and your body won't get overwhelmed. In healing, it is important to take small steps. These small steps will add up to the big steps/changes. Creating this solid foundation helps keep you on the path of recovery, healing and health.  CST helps with the root of the problem as well as the symptoms. I want to get to this "root", but that means starting on the outside and working my way in. That way when we do get to the root, you and your body can handle and appreciate the release. I want my clients to release the built up tension, stress, anxiety, and traumas. I will work with you and your needs on this path of health. Healing and health are lifelong journeys, it would be my pleasure to be a part of your journey.

During a session I want you to feel comfortable, so wear loose clothing or workout type clothing.

CranioSacral Therapy has been shown to improve the central nervous system functioning as well as other body systems. It also can work on the physical manifestations of somatic conditions like Post Traumatic Stress, Depression and Anxiety. By listening to the body's want to be pain free or for the innate healing, CranioSacral Therapy helps people with specific conditions but also is a preventative measure. It can help with the immune system and many other health difficulties. Below are a few of the ways CranioSacral Therapy can help.
